We had a rather different late summer trip to France this year. Firstly, we were staying for a week bang on the boundary between Brittany and Normandy (bringing into question the title of the trip), and secondly, we visited Jersey for a few days of exploration before travelling across to France.

Our holiday therefore required three ferry trips: Poole to St. Helier, St. Helier to St. Malo and finally St. Malo to Portsmouth.
