Astwood '10' 13/3/10 (72" Medium Gear event)

The first event in the 2010 series is a 10 mile event round the popular Astwood sporting course.

The race HQ for this event is the Astwood village hall.  The hall will be available from 8am to 10.30am - somewhere warm to change, have a cuppa and a chat.  No parking outside the hall - park in the usual place (see map).  Please note that in the past, the hall managers have declined to rent out the hall to cycling clubs due to poor behaviour (not on the part of the NBRC) - please behave in a considerate manner, and don't disturb the local residents, particularly those living near the hall.  Full course description and risk assessment.

This year's event is designated as a 72" medium gear event, though I think those wishing to ride their regular bikes will be most welcome.  See the discussions in the club forums for more information!

As at last year's event, the required distance to conform with the medium gear requirements will be marked on the kerb at the start.  The somewhat challenging weather we've experienced this winter may have resulted in new potholes - please be careful!  Please add any updates on the course condition via the commenting system.

First event of 2010! New Year's Day '10'

Blow off the winter cobwebs and come and ride the North Bucks Road Club New Year's Day '10'!

This event is to be held on the F5d/10, based on the new Stoke Hammond bypass.  Meet at the clubroom, and remember to allow sufficient time to get to the start.  Please review the course description and risk assessment.

You are advised to take particular care at the start and finish, due to the proximity to the Brickhill roundabout.  Please make sure you read the risk assessment before riding this course.  Riders must not stop & circulate around the Finish.

This event starts at 10am, and as usual, entry is £1.50 (members) or £2 (non-members)
